Controlled strip advancement

A servo feeder advances strip stock towards a press tool in defined steps. The relationship between the feed motion and press cycle must be considered alongside tooling and material properties. A useful project specification goes beyond selecting a maximum speed.

Consider the press and tooling together

Feed length, part geometry, output target and available feeding time are the starting data for the assessment. Pilot release, strip release and communication with an existing control system should be clarified within the quotation scope.

A configuration for your material

Provide the material grade, thickness and width ranges, coating and expectations concerning roll marks. Whether the feeder works independently or with a decoiler and straightener should be reviewed alongside line height and material direction.

Key considerations

  • Feed length considered alongside the press cycle
  • Roll selection matched to material surface requirements
  • Integration with the existing press and tooling

Applications

  • Coil processing operations
  • Project-specific industrial production
