Hydraulic Decoiler

A solution that connects coil handling and unwinding requirements to production flow.

From coil to controlled material flow

A hydraulic decoiler is assessed for holding a sheet metal coil on a mandrel and unwinding it towards the next process. Coil and material characteristics are reviewed together when choosing the mechanical arrangement and unwinding control.

Diameters matter as well as weight

Provide minimum and maximum inside diameters, outside diameters and strip widths alongside coil weight. Consider dimensional and packaging differences between material suppliers. Interfaces with a loading car or existing lifting equipment should be defined separately.

Compatibility with your line

Unwinding direction, line height, the operating pattern of the next machine and factory layout affect the configuration. Hold-down, support and control options are assessed for the individual application. Not every component shown in an illustration should be assumed to be included as standard.

Key considerations

  • Configuration based on coil weight and diameters
  • Compatibility with the loading method and line direction
  • Coil control options assessed for the project

Applications

  • Coil processing operations
  • Project-specific industrial production
